Increased rate to $18.30

Primary Purpose:

Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned route. Operate school buses that transport students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

ValidTexascommercial driver’s license (Class B with S & P Endorsement)

High School diploma or equivalent

Certified in CPR and First Aid (Preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Must be 18 years of age

An acceptable annual Motor Vehicle Report meeting the requirements of the State ofTexas

Ability to pass an annual School Bus Driver’s physical

Ability to pass alcohol and drug test (Pre-employment/Random)

Ability to complete required Texas School Bus Certification Course

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction

Ability to operate bus

Knowledge of student discipline procedures

Ability to manage student behavior
